The people responsible for your repair.
Direct communication and accountability start with the owners. Jonathan and Kayden guide the work, uphold Eddie’s Standard, and make sure every customer knows who is responsible for treating them right.
Jonathan
Jonathan founded Edgewood Tech Repair after a lifetime of taking electronics apart, fixing them, and learning how they work. He leads repair standards, technician training, and the company’s commitment to honest communication and visible accountability.
Read Jonathan’s full story
Jonathan was born and raised in Hilliard, Florida, a one-light town just south of the Georgia border. His interest in technology began at six years old after he broke a walkie-talkie and decided to take it apart. While experimenting with the wiring, the modified unit unexpectedly picked up part of a nearby phone conversation. That accident sparked a lifelong need to understand how electronics work.
Throughout childhood, Jonathan took apart electronics, repaired them, and built new projects from the components. He became a gamer at seven, and in 2012 began seriously exploring phone, computer, and game-console repair. He repaired devices for family members and studied console hardware and software customization, building the practical problem-solving skills that later became the foundation of his work.
Jonathan was raised by his grandfather, a self-made businessman and dedicated volunteer with the Northeast Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross. His grandfather taught him that honesty earns trust, quality must lead every business standard, employees should feel valued and welcome, and fair pricing creates lasting customer relationships. Jonathan carries those lessons into every decision at Edgewood Tech Repair.
Today, Jonathan oversees shop operations and personally trains employees and technicians to handle delicate electronics carefully, document existing condition, follow required repair steps, and avoid rushing. He believes accountability must be visible: if the team causes a problem, the expectation is to be honest, own it, communicate clearly, and work to make it right. His goal is to earn Edgewood Tech Repair a reputation as Jacksonville’s most trusted technology-repair business—one repair and one customer relationship at a time.
IT support and networking coursework
Jonathan has completed focused coursework in technical support and computer networking, strengthening the practical skills he brings to customer devices, troubleshooting, and business network service.
The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking

Technical Support Fundamentals

These are individual course-completion certificates for Google-authorized courses offered through Coursera.
Kayden
Kayden co-owns and manages Edgewood Tech Repair, bringing together customer service, soldering, PCB diagnostics, fabrication, and hands-on problem-solving. He helps keep repairs careful, clearly explained, and centered on each customer’s best interests.
Read Kayden’s full story
Kayden brings years of customer-service experience together with a strong background in welding, custom fabrication, electronics, and hands-on problem-solving. His interest in circuit boards grew through college coursework, where he developed practical experience with PCB assembly, soldering, component identification, multimeter diagnostics, and understanding how modern electronics are built.
His skills extend into metal and wood fabrication, giving him a versatile approach to unusual and complex repairs. A longtime technology and gaming enthusiast, Kayden values integrity, accountability, continued learning, and protecting each customer’s best interests. He approaches every device with care and works to provide repairs people can feel confident trusting.

One team. One standard. Listen carefully, explain honestly, document the work, and leave things better than we found them.

We do not offer walk-ins: every drop-off, on-site visit, and appointment must be scheduled in advance, and exact arrival instructions are provided after confirmation.

Good repairs start with being treated right.
Edgewood Tech Repair began in 2025 after Jonathan discussed the need for dependable computer, gaming, and technology support with a friend at JAS Computers on Cassat Avenue. That conversation helped turn years of hands-on repair work into a dedicated Jacksonville service business.
Jonathan created “Edgewood Eddie,” the company’s alligator mascot and head of its standards: be honest, protect the customer, do careful work, charge fairly, and take responsibility when something goes wrong.
Honest guidance
We explain what we know, what still needs diagnosis, and when a device or service falls outside our responsible capabilities.
Approval and fair pricing
We explain the plan and separate labor, parts, and approved equipment when possible. Covered work does not begin without the required customer authorization.
Careful, trained handling
Employees and technicians are trained to document condition, protect delicate electronics, follow the required workflow, and never rush a customer’s device.
Accountability when mistakes happen
If our work causes a problem, we are expected to be honest, communicate clearly, take responsibility, and work to make it right.
Broad supported service: Computers, laptops, all-in-one systems, Macs, MacBooks, iMacs, consoles, controllers, handheld gaming systems, supported VR equipment, networking diagnostics, and practical technology solutions for small businesses.
Eddie’s standard: Do it right. Treat people right. Leave things better than we found them.
We don’t just say it was tested.
We record the work.
Our technician portal guides the repair in order, records time spent in each required stage, and prevents later stages from opening until the required documentation is complete.
Authorization
No inspection, disassembly, or repair work proceeds until the required customer authorization is recorded.
Intake & condition
We document exterior condition, existing damage, accessories, and available battery information before repair work.
Before & after photos
Required repair photos create a visual record. Approved images can be downloaded from the online service tracker.
Timed & locked repair stages
Disassembly, repair, reassembly, and testing are completed in order. The system records the stage timing and keeps the next step locked until its requirements are satisfied.
Functional testing
Applicable power, ports, display output, controls, audio, connectivity, and device functions are checked and recorded.
Final QC & warranty
A final quality review and warranty record are required before a repaired device is marked ready for pickup.
See the four customer steps
Four clear moves from problem to pickup.
Tell us what happened
Request a quote with your device information and the problem you are experiencing.
Review the plan
We communicate what we know, provide the appropriate quote, and obtain authorization before work.
Follow the progress
Check updates, messages, parts, payments, and repair progress online.
Pickup with records
Review completed checks, available photos, warranty information, and your repair documents.
Your repair deserves a part selected for the device—not whatever ships fastest.
We source most repair parts through a trusted specialist supplier. We do not use Amazon for customer repair parts. In limited situations, eBay may be used only when the seller is known and previously verified.
Part availability, grade, compatibility, shipping, and customer pricing are reviewed before ordering. When tracking becomes available, it can be added to your online service tracker. Some replacement parts may include supplier warranty coverage when available; eligibility and coverage length vary by the specific part and supplier.
Price transparency
Quotes separate labor and parts so you can understand what you are approving.
Check progress without wondering when to call.
Use the phone number on your request to view active records, accept quotes, complete authorization, see payment requests, message the shop, follow part tracking, review quality checks, and download available documents or photos.
Clear help when your business technology gets in the way.
When a computer, printer connection, internet service, router, or Wi‑Fi problem slows down your work, we begin by understanding who is affected and what the business needs restored. We communicate around downtime, document the approved scope, and explain the findings without burying you in technical language.
Computers & workstations
Diagnostics, supported hardware repair, upgrades, software troubleshooting, and connected-device problems for Windows and Apple computers.
Internet & Wi‑Fi diagnostics
On-site review of service interruptions, weak coverage, routers, mesh systems, printers, and devices that will not stay connected.
Approval before equipment
Routers, mesh equipment, parts, and other purchases remain separate and require approval before they are ordered or installed.
Documented visit
We record the complaint, approved work, important findings, changes made, and recommended next steps for your business records.
Service boundary: Business internet and Wi‑Fi assistance is performed on-site. We do not perform electrical work or permanent in-wall network wiring.
Clear coverage, connected to your repair record.
Coverage depends on the approved service and the exact part used. Before release, we explain the applicable period, covered work, and exclusions in writing.
Written coverage by repair
Your completed service record states the workmanship coverage that applies to that specific repair.
Qualifying installation issues
Eligible adhesive or installation failures may be covered when they meet the written warranty terms.
30-day soldering workmanship
Qualifying HDMI and USB port soldering work includes 30-day workmanship coverage.
Supplier coverage when available
Part eligibility, duration, exclusions, and approval requirements vary by supplier and exact part.
Normally not covered
New impact, liquid or contamination damage, misuse, tampering, unrelated component failure, provider outages, unsupported wiring, or problems outside the original approved repair.
This is a plain-language summary. The written warranty attached to the specific repair record controls final coverage, eligibility, duration, and exclusions.
Good answers before you hand over your device.
