MEET THE OWNERS

The people responsible for your repair.

Direct communication and accountability start with the owners. Jonathan and Kayden guide the work, uphold Eddie’s Standard, and make sure every customer knows who is responsible for treating them right.

Jonathan, founder, owner, and technician at Edgewood Tech Repair
FOUNDER, OWNER & TECHNICIAN

Jonathan

Jonathan founded Edgewood Tech Repair after a lifetime of taking electronics apart, fixing them, and learning how they work. He leads repair standards, technician training, and the company’s commitment to honest communication and visible accountability.

Read Jonathan’s full story

Jonathan was born and raised in Hilliard, Florida, a one-light town just south of the Georgia border. His interest in technology began at six years old after he broke a walkie-talkie and decided to take it apart. While experimenting with the wiring, the modified unit unexpectedly picked up part of a nearby phone conversation. That accident sparked a lifelong need to understand how electronics work.

Throughout childhood, Jonathan took apart electronics, repaired them, and built new projects from the components. He became a gamer at seven, and in 2012 began seriously exploring phone, computer, and game-console repair. He repaired devices for family members and studied console hardware and software customization, building the practical problem-solving skills that later became the foundation of his work.

Jonathan was raised by his grandfather, a self-made businessman and dedicated volunteer with the Northeast Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross. His grandfather taught him that honesty earns trust, quality must lead every business standard, employees should feel valued and welcome, and fair pricing creates lasting customer relationships. Jonathan carries those lessons into every decision at Edgewood Tech Repair.

Today, Jonathan oversees shop operations and personally trains employees and technicians to handle delicate electronics carefully, document existing condition, follow required repair steps, and avoid rushing. He believes accountability must be visible: if the team causes a problem, the expectation is to be honest, own it, communicate clearly, and work to make it right. His goal is to earn Edgewood Tech Repair a reputation as Jacksonville’s most trusted technology-repair business—one repair and one customer relationship at a time.

THE EDGEWOOD TECH REPAIR PROMISE

Good repairs start with being treated right.

Edgewood Tech Repair began in 2025 after Jonathan discussed the need for dependable computer, gaming, and technology support with a friend at JAS Computers on Cassat Avenue. That conversation helped turn years of hands-on repair work into a dedicated Jacksonville service business.

Jonathan created “Edgewood Eddie,” the company’s alligator mascot and head of its standards: be honest, protect the customer, do careful work, charge fairly, and take responsibility when something goes wrong.

01

Honest guidance

We explain what we know, what still needs diagnosis, and when a device or service falls outside our responsible capabilities.

02

Approval and fair pricing

We explain the plan and separate labor, parts, and approved equipment when possible. Covered work does not begin without the required customer authorization.

03

Careful, trained handling

Employees and technicians are trained to document condition, protect delicate electronics, follow the required workflow, and never rush a customer’s device.

04

Accountability when mistakes happen

If our work causes a problem, we are expected to be honest, communicate clearly, take responsibility, and work to make it right.

Broad supported service: Computers, laptops, all-in-one systems, Macs, MacBooks, iMacs, consoles, controllers, handheld gaming systems, supported VR equipment, networking diagnostics, and practical technology solutions for small businesses.

Eddie’s standard: Do it right. Treat people right. Leave things better than we found them.

02 THE EDGEWOOD TECH REPAIR QUALITY RECORD

We don’t just say it was tested.
We record the work.

Our technician portal guides the repair in order, records time spent in each required stage, and prevents later stages from opening until the required documentation is complete.

No inspection, disassembly, or repair work proceeds until the required customer authorization is recorded.

05

Functional testing

Applicable power, ports, display output, controls, audio, connectivity, and device functions are checked and recorded.

06

Final QC & warranty

A final quality review and warranty record are required before a repaired device is marked ready for pickup.

03PARTS SOURCING STANDARD

Your repair deserves a part selected for the device—not whatever ships fastest.

We source most repair parts through a trusted specialist supplier. We do not use Amazon for customer repair parts. In limited situations, eBay may be used only when the seller is known and previously verified.

Part availability, grade, compatibility, shipping, and customer pricing are reviewed before ordering. When tracking becomes available, it can be added to your online service tracker. Some replacement parts may include supplier warranty coverage when available; eligibility and coverage length vary by the specific part and supplier.

We communicate around downtime, document the approved scope, and explain the findings without burying you in technical language.

01

Computers & workstations

Diagnostics, supported hardware repair, upgrades, software troubleshooting, and connected-device problems for Windows and Apple computers.

02

Internet & Wi‑Fi diagnostics

On-site review of service interruptions, weak coverage, routers, mesh systems, printers, and devices that will not stay connected.

03

Approval before equipment

Routers, mesh equipment, parts, and other purchases remain separate and require approval before they are ordered or installed.

04

Documented visit

We record the complaint, approved work, important findings, changes made, and recommended next steps for your business records.

Service boundary: Business internet and Wi‑Fi assistance is performed on-site. We do not perform electrical work or permanent in-wall network wiring.
